DVD space available
[Post New]
4.7 gig DVD
After having to remove some items to stay within the DVD space available I can see on the CD that about only Half of it was used.
Is that normal or is PD not measuring correctly?

Then, when I go through Windows file system to check the DVD properties it shows 1.43 GB used with no free space.

Long story - short. You can put one hour of best quality DVD on a disc. Ignore file size. Most programs guess on the amount you can put on a disc because it relies on "standard" settings. These can never be trusted.

If you reduce the quality, you can fit more but why? If you have about 2 hours of video, you can use double layer DVDs.

Is that enough information? What quality settings (bit rate, etc.) did you select if it isn't.
