Wahts the best Format to make DVD?

I have read conflicting answers, so ask specdifically here.

I have made a youtube series of videos in MOV format so they can be viewed in HD. Thatnks to PD they look awesome!

But now I want to make a DVD version, I knwo I cant make Blue Ray disks, but what is goign to be best quality for a standard DVD?

MOV? MPEG2 , maybe MPEG 4?

I use Powerprducer.. so does it make all formags the same quality in the end??

All burned standard definition and authored DVD have the mpg2 format. Note: On the disc, it will have the extension VOB. I have yet to figure out why ! No matter what you start with you end up with mpg2 so start with that.

Sorry, I just noticed that you are using Power Producer and Power Director. Is that correct? . The information above is still correct regardless.
