PD11 installation terminates with SETUP COULD NOT LOAD/UNLOAD GETDXVER.DLL???

I've been running PD10 for a couple of years and decided to upgrade to PD11. So I bought the PD11 upgrade and the download went fine, but the installation terminates with the "SETUP COULD NOT LOAD/UNLOAD GETDXVER.DLL" message.

Next I tried installing the free trial version just to see if it would load - I got the same termination and message.

Anybody know how to fix this problem?

Hi Tangle,
That error message is likely to do with a system file missing (which is needed to install a program) rather than a PDR issue.

Googling the error message throws up quite a few reports to read.

Please contact Technical Support - in case I'm wrong.
