How good is the Chroma-Key Tool in 11 and are the render times really faster then 10?

I have 10 and I have used it for a youtube channel for over a year now. I was wondering how good the chroma-key tool was and if the truevelocity 3 really rendered videos any faster. Thanks for the help.

Hi Happythumbs

Welcome to the forum

The quick answer is no.

But, PD11 Ultra Full version does have a new PIP designer and many other features not available in PD10 as per comparison chart:

I am not at all impressed with the chroma-key, but I am about to test it on another computer to see if maybe my desktop is just too slow to handle the latest version. It worked fine in older versions of PD. __________________________________

Hi

Why don't you download the PD11 trial and test it out?

The trial should run along side your PD10.

Sure some features are disabled with the PD11 trial version but at least then you can compare apples with apples on your own machine. Happing editing

I don't have a green screen yet so I was wondering how well it worked with one before I bought it

Are we talking about chroma-key as a module that works without crashing, and can remove a background from a photo/image?
Or...
Are we talking about the proper use of a green/blue-screen?
It works perfectly fine with images, but I have not yet used it on a live shot.
Any previous PD versions, and green-screen anomalies, I've done well, not perfect...

but... I figure I just have to do a better job of lighting, and getting the fabric right.

I also think I may need better set up for the green screen to work better, but since I migrated to a new computer I keep getting the codec activation warnings, so I guess I will have to wait for PD12. __________________________________
