Hi All

Does anyone know where the 1920x1080/50P profile setting is in the Create Disc mode or know how to 'create this setting'?

Oddly enough, in the Produce area there is such a Profile but it appears to be 'missing' in the Create Disc area

I am using a camera that shoots in the 1920x1080/50P mode - Sony HXR-NX70.

Thanks in advance

That is not a Blu-ray Disc format, so you won't find it in the list. Gateway DX4380, AMD A8-5500 Quad Core 3.2GHz with ATI Radeon HD 7560D; 16GB RAM; 1 TB SATA 7200 RPM; Windows 8 Pro 64-bit; PDR11, PDVD12.

Forget Wikipedia, and go directly to the Blu-ray Disc website.

Actually there is AVCHD v2

It IS possible to create a 1920x1080 60 or 50P disc by using TsMuxer and disc burning software like Roxio MGburn etc.

The 60P 25GB dics play fine on my 2 year old Samsung after a firmware update.

Jmone can elaborate on that, he was instrumental in making it possible using PD.

I should have said..... I'm looking forward to when PD adds support for AVCHD v2 with 1080/50 or 60p support. As Eugen157 mentioned you can produce the content as a 1080/50 or 60p M2TS file then author a AVCHD Disc in other progs.... but you will not get the Menu support that PD provides. So we wait till PD adds support for this (it should not be long as they have added 3D which is in the same format revision).

If 50/60P "is not allowed" why then do all late BR DVD players handle it???

In my neighborhood we have 6 BR players, All handle 60P including a Sony and a Panasonic recently added.

And, as mentioned before, my 2 year old Samsung, after a firmware update handles it too!!

So what is with this "not Allowed stuff"? as far as only PD11 is concerned yes, is PD12 going to do it ?.

Do I have to wait THAT long ?

1) Most mid range and up camcorders produce it. WHY ???

2) BR players play it. WHY ???

What is going on?

I would be glad to pay extra for a plug in for PD11 to avoid 3 extra steps to produce a 60P BR DVD.

Why not have Cyberlink be ahead of the others??

Frustrating

Eugene

PS That BR WHITE PAPER is at least 18 month old.!
