Try both.

It depends on if you have 5.1 sound in your video.

2 channel is safe to use anytime.

There have been some posts in the forum about 5.1 Sound not working as it should.

I do not have any 5.1 sound videos to play around with, so I know nothing about using 5.1 sound in Powerdirector.

I just know that 2 channel sound always works.
