Hello Forum Friends,

I purchased and downloaded the PDR 8 and when it would not open I ugraded and purchased and downloaded the Media Suite with PDR 10. All software in the suite opens except for the PDR 10.

I have a Gateway DX4300-11 originally with with windows 7 Hme 64 bit which I upgraded to Windows 8 64 bit

AMD Phenom II x4 805 Quad Core processor with 8GGB DDR2

ATI Radeon HD 3200 Integrated

Viewpoint Media Player

Also has a TV Tuner Yuan TV Driver

DicX codex

Software installed on the computer includes Microsoft Silverlight and Nero 9

1.) Originally downloaded Power Directer 8 and when it would I received an error message saying PDR stop working (it never opened) I forwarded the report to cyberlink. The response was to upgrade.

2.) I upgraded to Media Suite which included Power Director 10. All suite programs open fine except for PDR10 which issues the same message which is that PDR10 stop working (never opened).

3.) I read a thread suggesting that Quicktime might needed to be updated so I did that and restarted the computer and when I tried to open PDR10 I got the same message. "PDR10 stop working" (it never opened)

4.) I read a thread that suggested that another issue was that the best catalyst to have was Catalyst 11.1. So after having tried Catalyst 12.1 I reinstalled Catalyst 11.1 and the results were the same.

I downloaded the DxDiag report and attached it to this post.
Please help and thank you so much.

Hi Ralph,
Thank you for the attached diagnostic file.

1. Install the latest free QuickTime, download from Apple.
1-1. Then attempt to run PowerDirector.
2. Download and install the lasted graphic card driver via AMD's website.
Your driver isn't the latest: Driver Date/Size: 7/25/2012
