Adding Intro to Movie
[Post New]
I'm still putting finishing touches on my Video (which I thought would be done two weeks ago but issues keep coming up) when I've run into another issue.

I am putting text over the first clip in my Video, and it looks fabulous small. But when I produce the video and view it full screen the text is fuzzy. I can only imagine how it awful will look viewed on the TV screen.

The video is sharp...what can I do to ascertain the title I add to the movie will be also?

Thanks in Advance... Dustie

Hi Dustie -

Fuzzy text? Haven't heard that one for a while... since PD8, I think.

Something is making it fuzzy... font or formatting. To work that out it'd be a good idea to post a screen shot of the Title edit screen, so members can see what you've applied.

The first thing I'd do is remove any blur you may have applied to font face, borders or shadows. To me, PD's blur is blech!

Cheers - Tony

You do not say the original video format and what is creating, PD11 works best with HD quality videos, especially if using text effect with Scroll UP etc. ... AMD-FX 8350 / 8GB DDR3
SSD SUV400S37240G / 2-HD WD 1TB
AMD Radeon R9 270 / AOC M2470SWD
Windows 7-64 / PD16 Ultimate

Thanks guys. Actually, I was viewing the PD11 Burn Disc preview...didn't hit me till after I posted that I wasn't watching in the highest definition since it was just a preview. When I checked out the produced video in windows viewer not as a preview the text was sharp!

Thanks all...for the very first time I watched my video on TV! This is probably a girl thing but it brought tears to my eyes. Not the video itself, but the fact that I had finally gotten to that point. I figured it out...this video has been in the making since early last June and has nearly 500 hours, give or take a few, invested in it.

About 70 hours of that has been in creating and editing the video itself and the rest was spent in a little boat out on the lake searching out wildlife and videoing them.

I had a dream.....

Wish I could say it was done, but I found a few things in the video I need to correct or tweak...

This sure is FUN!

I don't know what I would have done without the answers I've found in this forum during this whole process. THANK YOU ALL...YOU ARE AWESOME!

Dustie -

It's not just a girl thing at all.

Especially with a larger project, it does make you sit back and feel - well - you know - like you've just given birth after a very long labour.

Look forward to seeing your work.

Cheers - Tony

P.S. Yes - the preview resolution in Create Disc is rubbish. You don't judge anything by it except whether your menu is functioning.

Tony,

Well, in my case it wasn't like a very long labour... the 400+ hours out on the lake in my little boat was far from being painful, if you know what I mean.

Dealing with the quirks of PowerDirector sometmes though might be akin to the pain of labor...but then again, they do say we women forget the worst of it .....

And then there was dealing with my husband when he had to get his own dinner because his wife was out in the lake on the scent some elusive creature or another...
