Vocal Removal in Music

I'm a long-time PowerDirector user but a real newbie to AudioDirector and audio in general (as far as adjusting audio and applying effects). The main reason I purchased AudioDirector was to have the ability to remove the vocals in songs so that it doesn't take away from my videos.

I have imported several songs and applied the vocal removal effect but I can still hear the vocals and this particular effect just seems to make the whole song real "tinny". What am I doing wrong? And what does instruction note within this effect mean that says "remove vocals in stereo music when vocal sounds are panned to center?"

Please help!
Cindy

Hello Cindy,

Welcome to the ADR forum.

There was a previous discussion of this very thing http://forum.cyberlink.com/forum/posts/list/25316.page

Different members met with varying degrees of success with vocal removal using AudioDirector. You'll find Jeff's comments & findings particularly useful.
