DVD preference?
[Post New]
In putting together a DVD is there one DVD brand that is recommended over another for video?

I just noticed it says Senior Member over my icon's head. What makes a senior member I'm wondering... it is time, or number of posts?? I'm glad to be a senior member, regardless of the reason though. ;

Thanks,

Dustie Dustie

It used to be a very hot topic a few years ago as the question was one of compatibility between different brands of Media and Players. There is still a list here if that helps but the issue seems to have passed somewhat (on the DVD front) http://www.videohelp.com/dvdmedia

I like Verbatin(sp?) I have never had any problems with them.
I usually buy the DVD-single layer bulk, and the DVD-DL in packs of 5, I also buy Blu Ray rewritable for testing BD disk before committing to a final disk saves a lot of coasters if you have to change something.

I like Verbatim when I can find them. I also use Maxell or Sony. I don't like Memorex, but have used them. Some times they work, some times they don't. Seems to depend on the burner. I do not ever use a store brand. I have tried them when the price was right and had nothing but trouble. __________________________________
