Recording with a USB Headset

SOLVED. MY SETTINGS IN PREFERENCES WAS THE PROBLEM.

Even though I have set my Recording Device in 'Sound' to USB Headset I can not select it within the AD programme. All I seem to be able to select is the IDT High Definition Audio Codec (Windows7 64bit pc) in different modes eg mono/stereo.
What am I doing wrong ... a high quality USB headset is all I use for recording speech.
Hoping for a solution
Thanks Ron

Hello Ron,

I'm glad to see Jeff & others were able to help you with your question out in the PD forum. It's always good to get the word from people who've done what you're trying to do.

Thanks Pix.
After posting here I thought maybe the 'boys' on PD knew the answer.
But the answer was ME. Its good to know that errors are 'personal' rather than product ... completely forgot the possibility that audio settings were in the Preferences. I tried to set only within the Record Audio/Recording Setting/Input source
So many things to remember

I have been using another good audio product but I reckon that AD will pretty much do all I need.
