Hello,

I'am using Power Director 10 and I like the program, but when i have burned my photoshow to DVD, the result on the televisionscreen is not the quality of my photo's itselves. The movie is not sharp.

I intent to buy a blueraywriter, but before that I like to know if the result will be better.
Will the program use the origional photo's? And the quality of the photo's?
I like to see the movie with good and sharp photo's.

What is the best way to burn?

Thank you for answering
Rob

You have run into the limits of DVD media. Maximum quality is 720x480, so that's what happens to the pics/videos. Many BR players have a card or USB slot, those retain the full HD quality. So, a BR disc will be better, and the card/USB will also be better.
You can, however, also make an AVC-HD disc on a regular DVD, but those only play in (some) BR players, but will save a few bucks on discs.

Thanks for your answer. Now I understand my problems burning a DVD.

I've made a photoshow 4:3. I tried AVCHD and the quality is very sharp.
But the problem now is, that the photo's are zoomed in. Standing pictures dissapear for a great part.

Is it possible to burn AVCHD 4:3?
And Blueray 4:3?

Next time I will make my photo's 16:9. For now I hope to get the best result.

I believe that BluRay is always 16:9.

Nothing wrong with doing 16:9 and putting a background behind the photos.

To create a background, put the background (it can be anything) on Track 1, Put your photos on Track 2. When the photos do not fill out the frame the background will show behind the photos.
