PowerDVD command line

I read the tips and tricks post about the PowerDVD 12 command line, but I didn't see anything about passing a variable value into it. I can right click on a DVD folder and launch it in VLC or Zoom Player, but I'm having no luck adding such a command for PDVD. The AUTOPLAY command works fine, but then PDVD looks for a disc in my DVD drive. I tried using the standard "%1%" at the end of the command line, but PDVD doesn't pick up the folder name the way VLC and ZM do. Is this not supported, or is there another method to use? If it's not supported, maybe Cyberlink could add a folder context menu item in the next build.

Have you tried running the DVD IFO file in PowerDVD? also, Autoplay I think makes PowerDVD look for a Disk so try omitting the Autoplay function when trying to push a local file to PowerDVD. I use the command you mentioned above minus the Omit to play MKV 3D files from XBMC.

Oh and you have to use pdvdlaunchpolicy.exe I think.

Yes, you're right, that's the correct .exe file. I know I can just launch the .ifo file, but I figure if my other players can play the movie from the top level folder via right click, PowerDVD ought to be able to do it to. I know how to add a command to the right click Folder context menu, but I need the correct PDVD syntax. It didn't work without AUTOPLAY, that just takes me to the PDVD home screen.

Thanks for the suggestions.

Hi Michael,

I read that thread before I got started, but I wasn't sure it was totally comprehensive. It would be nice if in a future version Cyberlink supported passing a variable, or included a Folder context menu "Play with" command in the install.
