Rendering Issues
[Post New]
I have browsed through the forum and am intimidated with all the "answers" I think I found with my issue because it talks about updating graphic cards, numbers of what type of PowerDirector9 software you have, ect. I am not so savvy with all the technological features of my computer/software program, ect.

What I do know is that I have Power Director 9. I don't see Ultra64 so I am going to assume I don't have that one. From the beginning I have had rendering issues whereby the program freezes while uploading.

I complained to CS, they sent me an email, I understood half of what they said, but followed the instructions to the best of my ability. Sometimes it renders just fine, but when I add multiple short clips to the time line, it always freezes.

Is there just a simple patch someone can direct me to? I would be very appreciative.

Edit: maybe I do have Ultra 64. I just found my order email and it says:

Product Name Qty Price
CyberLink PowerDirector 9 Ultra64 1 $94.95

Hi Tammy, it's been few days already. Found any luck on rendering so far?

Thanks for the reply. No I have not. What I ended up doing with a 9 minute video was rendering it in 3 parts and then rendering those 3 parts. It's very frustrating. A friend of mind refered me to another software program.

I've had to do this before. For some reason, when I put multiple clips it always freezes.

Does your PC just freeze? I had to reformat my PC when my capture device was just skipping during capture when I would choose MPeg 4 or AVI and it never used to do that. So after I re installed Windows 7 64 I had a problem with my original software so I had to download new software from Cyberlink. Well when I run the software now and I play my imported file a little thing pops up next to the preview screen and it will say rendering and a progress indicator with a green line keeps flashing on and off with the exact rythym of the freezing up. How come I have never seen that indicator pop up like that ever in over 4 years using this software. It has never worked like this before. Jeff
