I have managed to separate the sound from a video clip and have now found a good video of the same with no sound. These are in the timeline and working well. How can I combine this video/Audio into a single entity and also is there anyway I can save this so as to use on future projects

First, right click on the clip in the timeline and select 'Unlink video and audio.' Do the same, if necessary, to the new video. Now, delete the unwanted audio clip and drag the wanted audio below the new video clip. Select both audio and video by pressing the ctrl key and clicking on both. Release the ctrl key and right-click. Choose 'Group Objects'. You can also delete the unwanted video clip now.

That should do it, but for some reason, even after unlinked, the audio and video will move together. If so, try switching to movie mode, then go back and try again.

To save for future project, the easiest way is to produce it as a movie.

Jaime-esque, was accurate in his comment
But it may be simple but still add the 2 videos, and track (1) and (2) aligned at the beginning
Verify that this synchronized audio at the beginning and end, with good video.
Being right, just disable the bad video and audio, save to video file.
