Can I export a range of my project?

I would like to render out a small portion of my timeline to a video file. I have selected a range using the yellow range selectors but I see nowhere where I can output just this range.

It gets a little complicated.

First save a project file of your current project so you can recall it back.

Now if you copy your range selection, then clear your time line (File > New Workspace) Or (CTRL+Shift+W), Paste the copied section to the time line.
There are buttons on top of the timeline that Copy the range selection then Paste in the empty timeline.

Now produce that section.

You should now have a video of that section.

To bring back the previous project just open the saved project file.

I know how to post a new topic. I just did to start this thread. I now want to ask CyberLink to add an "export range" feature to the next version of PowerDirector (along with 1001 other things of course : )

Hi

Sorry, I misread your previous post.

Try contacting customer support, I think this is the link for 'suggestions'

I'm on PD13 i.e. not the latest version and it is able to produce/copy/export a selected range from a clip. This might not have been possible 4 years ago when this post was current but it is now smile

As Longedge stated and it is also in PD12. That is an old post to be adding comments on for those not using an earlier version of PD.

Could somebody demonstrate how this is done? Is there a youtube video about this? I can not find any. Thanks.

The attached screenshot may help. Use the scrubber to drag out the range you want and then right click on it.
