Hello Jerry,

3 out of 4 crayons ain't bad!

Great job with your tour & review video. An honest assessment of the newly born ColorDirector. Agreed it is going to be a great asset for video editors, especially PD users. It sets about to "fill some gaps" & does a good job.

I agree with you about some of the shortcomings you mentioned in your review. As it becomes more widely used, I think we'll find CL's R&D team responsive to feedback.

Though not completely integrated, ColorDirector projects (the .cds file) can be exported to PD. That's certainly a plus.

PhotoDirector users will also find that PhD presets appear in the presets list & can be applied to video.

Again - great work with the video & thank you for posting in the forum.

I missed that completely. Thanks.

I have to confess I've never looked at PhotoDirector. I've been a PaintShop Pro user since it was $10 shareware, but I'll take a poke at PhotoDirector in my infinite free time.

PIX

You're welcome.

I really enjoy this kind of thing, although it is very time-consuming. I have the script for an introductory tutorial already written, but I don't know when I'll have a chance to actually work on the video. I estimate it will be around 15 minutes long. Jerry Schwartz

Yes,

Exporting an edited clip from CDR to PD11 seems to work quite seamlessly.

Clips are "transportable" the other way too (from PD to CDR) by going to Fix/Enhance > ColorDirector.

Very neat & a great addition to the editing arsenal.

Wow! Brilliant tutorial - thanks

ColorDirector is an excellent addition and your excellent tutorial highlighted its strengths and weaknesses.

Just one minor correction at 7:40 you said "..the program isn't integrated with PowerDirector.."

As Pix has eluded to, you can open CD from PD.

Happy editing and thanks again
