Hi there,

My Powerdirector project has only a PIP track (mpeg2 file).
I would like to add chapters to my project but it seems impossible.

Any ideas to share?
Thank you in advance!
Giuseppe

Hello, welcome.
1st. always say what version PD you are using, especially for newbies.
2nd. mention OS
that's all.
Now, you need to put something in the regular timeline, even if you do not see it in the final video. An empty .png file, or a color board.
You can add the chapters to that, even if you do not see it.

Thank you Barry.

Vista and PD 6 here.

What do you mean about Color Board?
Thank you again.

Giuseppe

Near the top of the editing interface is a drop-down menu. It probably says "all media". Click on it.
This is useful if you are looking for a clip or photo, or music, it won't display the other file types.
One of the choices is "colorboard". These are blank colored files to place wherever you wish. Useful for many things, as you will find.
I did not find this function for some time.
Place a CB into the upper timeline, and add chapters to it. Join/SignUp to SeeMyWorldOnVideo. We're PowerDirector Video Editors. Are you a member? - JOIN TODAY!
