Audio streams from internet for video edits

I know I can capture video from TV using my computers TV tuner and then cut/trim the video for use in a PD6 project (for private, non-commercial use, of course).

But, can I capture the audio from an internet streaming radio broadcast and save it, along with cut/trim for use in a video project?

For instance, I'd like to save from of the Metropolitan Opera Saturday broadcast and use certain sections of the music in my video project.

How do I/can I capture this internet audio into a PD6 useable audio format?

Thanks,
Doug

I tend to used a specialist video screen capture program to record video and audio (mic or streamed). It's worked for me.

Thanks Dafydd,

Which program do you use? Anything I can get in the US?

Thanks,
Doug

Hi Doug,
I've PM'd you the information.
The following does NOT apply to PD.

To record streamed audio you also have to change the capture/record capability on your PC
Open the capture software.
See Audio icon in the task bar short cuts /bottom right
(you might need to access this from Control panel)
Select Volume Control
Display shows
Options > Properties
Select Recording
Select Mono Mix and Stereo Mix
> OK
Display shows
Select either Stereo Mix or Mono Mix and move volume slider

Now you can record incoming streamed audio

The selections may be different for Vista users.

Some capture programs may provide an easier option.

Dafydd
