using 2 cameras for one video and syncing audio

Right, firstly could someone please tell me the correct way to switch (on the timelime) to which camera you want the visual to be coming from? I can only do this by splitting the clip then it switches to the other timeline.

2nd, When i've synced the audio to both cameras, how do i go about cutting the unwanted footage out but keeping the audio synced?

Basically I'm going to be filming in a night club using 2 cameras, i want to trim the footage out when i'm moving around etc, insert clips of the crowd when i've been filming on the dance floor, and footage of the dj mixing, but keep the audio synced.

The audio will be recorded on a solid state recorder ( i know how to sync the audio to video but dont know how to keep it synced when cutting out footage and adding clips.

The audio dosnt have to be synced when showing people close up in the crowd dancing etc but would need to be synced when switching back to the dj.

Tricky one!

Thanks in advance

Basically what I do in this case, I have 2 videos (2 Cameras) and 1 audio separately.
The audio good, add this in the timeline and locked.
Video more complete, (fixed camera for example) add the (Track 1), I edit this video to sync with the audio good, and locked.
Add the second video (Track 2), editing (cutting and positioning) to give the synchronization with video and audio already edited.
The audio graph, also helps the sync, reducing the image size of the video track 2, to view simultaneously two
Desabilta the audio and video, as needed during the end leaves the good audio, disable or delete the bad audios.
This way works for me, but have other ways of doing

It's much easier if you have non-stop video-files, do you?
Place Video A on a top track.
Place Video B in the next track below, but MODIFY/KEYFRAME it to 1/2 opacity.
This will allow visual syncing, you can use the audio wavelines to get it close also.
The wavelines are how you will sync the added audio. It's easier with your tracks view set to LARGE/TALL.
You will have 3 audios, after syncing, mute the 2 you do not want.
Restore 1/2 transparent video to original opacity.
Now, to cut back and forth between videos, you can split portions (but do not delete) the bottom-most file, just make them 100% transparent, that will keep it in place, but you NEVER have to touch the topmost video file (regarding switching cameras)
Or...you DO NOT cut, just use the MODIFY/KEYFRAME to change the lower video's opacity, and fade in and out.

I did not use a 3rd independent audio so the crowd noise is louder than it should have been, as well as a latency issue.
