PowerDirector 8 Freeze - Shut Down?

This continues to happen and I don't know why, but I will be in the middle of editing a video and PowerDirector will freeze for about 10secs and then cut off. Sometimes, I have to go into Task Manager and shut the program completely off before I can restart it. 99% of the time, it will have all of my editing saved, except for the last 2-3 minutes, so it's not that big of a deal except it's a big pain.

Today, I was working on a video and all of a sudden I got an error message from my computer. I hit OK and PowerDirector cut off. Right after it shut down, I got a second error message.

Can someone look at these and try and fill me in on why this is always happening and if there's anything I can do to prevent it from happening? It happens, at least, once a day, when I'm working on videos.

I attached an image of the two error messages to show what I was looking at. For some reason I decided to copy my screen on the first one and got the second. Now, I can actually show what I'm looking at; although, these error messages don't really ever show. Most of the time, it will just freeze and then cut off.

Thanks for any help or info ya'll can give me,
Sean

Both of those error messages refer to memory.

Virtual function call may be referring to virtual memory. Virtual memory to the area that some refer to as Swap File.

You may have a memory module failing, and/or your hard drive is throwing errors.

I would look online for a memory test program and run it for 15-20 minutes.

Hard drives have a self test that you may be able to turn on in BIOS.
