I have an HP Z800 machine to which I have just added a second processor Xeon X5660 with 48GB of ram. If I now try to produce an mvc file it crashes. If I set the bios to turn off one of the processors it works ok. Has anybody else running a dual processor machine had this problem?

Most of the heavy users of PD10 have multi-processor PC: it's the only way to handle HD content in a reasonable time frame.

Since your config is not the norm please follow the recommended steps listed on the top of the forum page to offer us more detail about your PC. Win 10, i7

Most of us have multi-core processors, but there should be little difference from what you are experiencing. Have you tired different ways of producing, with/with out hardware encoding, etc. Sounds like PD is expecting your computer to react a certain way, and for some reason it isn't. __________________________________

Hi,
Not a system expert but if you just added the second processor you may have to change (or setup) your CMOS to either recognize the second processor, or set it as main processor (not sure how two processors work).
Jim
p.s. Are you talkign about video processor or main processor.
p.s.s
runs DXdiag and post the txt file here.
