Installed 3305 updates yesterday and today when I try to edit I get crashes. Have reloaded program 3 times, and it crashes when I edit at different places. Program seems slow to respond, tried waiting a few more seconds before giving command. Helped, but did not solve problem.

Anyone else having problems? With older version rarely had a crash.

Win7 64 bit, 8 gig ram, ATI 5450 running 12.2 driver.

I solved my problem, just not sure exactly why.

I uninstalled a program (and here is where I failed to remember the exact name) called Cyberlink something.

Power Director runs perfectly now, and it still says version 3305. So not sure if it uninstalled all the updates, and retained the version name, or it did something else. But good news it works just like before the update screwed things up.

Posted this in case anyone else runs into the same problem. Think I will pass on trying the update again.

Spoke too soon. PD9 worked for 2 days without crashing. Today I crashes frequently. Can not even get one video to edit more than a few steps.

Hi Curt:

I had the same problem. For me 3305 is not an upgrade, it is a kind of disturb for the system.

I just erased everything and re-install, without 3305. No more problem.

But now, after several months I'm having troubles with wmv files, but nothing related with 3305 Paul Malbec L.

I also had problems after updating to 3305. No crashes, but it messed up the production of MPEG2s. I rolled back to my original build and everything's been fine since, fingers crossed. Regards,
Mike
