Downloaded menu and title templates not incorporated into PD on double clicking file

I run PD9 on my laptop and PD10 on my desktop. I recently downloaded .dzm and .dzt files from the Directors' Zone to my laptop. On double clicking the downloads, I get a message that Windows cannot open the files. I have previously had no problem incorporating downloads into PD9 or PD10. Transferring the same downloads to my desktop, everything works as expected. The templates are incorporated into and are useable in PD10.

I have searched the forums and have not found any reference to this particular problem. Does anyone have an explanation for this odd behaviour?

I deleted and reinstalled PD9 and everything then worked normally. Note that I did not say the problem was
solved. To do so would mean that I understood the specific reasons for the problem. I do not. Meantime, I'm content
to put the problem behind me.
