PD & Animation (Tutorial)
[Post New]
Members -

Most of us would use a toolkit of software to supplement everything that PD can do with video editing.

Occasionally, questions arise about the use of animated gifs in PD. Though PD will import the .gif file, it is only able to display the first frame.

We have a new tutorial on the PDtoots channel that illustrates how animated .gif files can be applied in PD. Even though the toot is based on questions about creating animated logo globes, it shows how separate frames of .gif files can be imported into PD & used as part of a video.

►►► A quick & easy way is to use the set of individual frames in PowerDirector's Time Lapse slideshow template.

It's here... http://youtu.be/GQvhfhN3IPs

It's all good fun, & just puts another "trick" into the toolkit. Glad you're enjoying playing with it.

I'm attaching a "high" resolution circle mask that was used in the toot. It provides a crisper edge on the globe. The mask & thumb goes in C:\Program Files\CyberLink\PowerDirector10\Masks

Michael - on your posted examples (great job!), it might be worth just slightly shrinking the circle mask to take out the white edges.

Cheers - Tony
