Hi,

I was wondering if Powerdirector can spot bad frames in a video file? i have a video file that has some bad frames but they are hard to spot, i need something that will automatically find them, that way i can edit/delete them.

Thank you

Please explain bad frames. Do you spread out the timeline to the max to try to see the "Bad" frames.

Nah you won't see them in the timeline unless you stretch it really far and even like that it would be painful to find them. The bad frames don't go for very long, that's why i have trouble finding them, in fact the only way to really spot them is by watching the whole 40minute video without skipping through it.

Well i don't exactly know how to explain the bad frames but the picture gets all pixelated and screwed up.

Can you see the bad frames if you are fast forwarding through the video? You may be able to see them if you are only running 2x or 4x, depends on how many bad frames in a row.

The way powerdirector fast forwards is by dropping frames, so if the bad frames are in the dropped frames you will not see them.

If you are rendering, then, you bet powerdirector will detect them. But that does not help you find them.
