You could place the video in the time-line
Place a *.png image (whole screen size) with black and transparent area into PiP.
Create the video as an avi (uncompressed)
I'm not sure exactly what you have in mind.
The "black" can be removed with the chrome key - be careful.
The transparent area allows you to localise the area you want retained.
Anyway... I'm just throwing you possibilities.

Let me try it this way.........
In photoshop or any photo editing software, you can crop out an image and in return it will make the specified image larger with out running into resolutions problems.
I am wanting to take that same idea and perform that task in the video editing world. Crop out a particular image in the video with out running into resolutions problems.
I probably did not do justice in explaining it.

So I guess version 6 does not have crop?
That really bites. I do not even know if I should spend my money in upgrading to version 7. I recently bought a computer and it came pre installed in my comp.
