GUYS,

I'm producing a fashion show commercial and I need a side ways open currtain effect to display Show times and other show info all displayed on one page. The clip is 5 secs long and I need the curtain to open in 1 - 2 secs. I found a rising curtain effect in the Director Zone but it was too slow and I couldn't modify it to my needs.

Any ideas?
Thanks

Making a sideways opening curtain is beyond my powers, at least this close to bedtime, but you can change the speed of a title animation by changing the duration of the title. If you wanted the curtain to open in two seconds, make the duration of the title two seconds. If you want finer control, the title editor lets you do some adjustments with keyframes. You can only have two animations (one in, one out) unfortunately. Jerry Schwartz

Hi Calsi

Welcome to the volunteer forum

Yes this can be done in PD10 by using PNG images and a movement/motion path create in the PIP Designer.

1. In track one insert your video

2. In Track 2 insert Curtain Left and create a motion path

3. In track 2 insert Curtain Right and create a motion path

4. In Track 4 insert the Stage Curtain Pelmet

Note I have attached all the images you should need to create this project.

For more information about how to create motion paths see PDtoots tutorial:
