Text flying from a distance...

First time poster here so be gentle... :

I am looking for a text effect that has the text fly in from a distant point and flies past you as though it goes behind you.

I am still getting the hang of PD10 and the Zone.

If anyone could help or point to the right spot, I would greatly appreciate it. :

Hi mhumpty -

In the Title Room, the text effects are what they are. The only real parameter you can control is duration/speed.

PD doesn't have a text starting effect that does what you descibe, so the best thing to do is make you title as a graphic file with a transparent background (.png), then manipulate it it PiP Designer.

This should help you out with that http://youtu.be/H2swuG2eLsM

Cheers - Tony

Hi Michael

CL - unfortunately - hasn't seen the need for Zoom text, unlike nearly all other video editing software, including iMovie

Tony's workaround is a great way to get the desired effect you are looking for.

Hopefully in PD11 'they' might reconsider and install this much needed feature.

Happy editing Happing editing

Best Regards

Neil
