I downloaded a particle effect of a plane flying over a world map. I want to draw a line showing where the plane came from and where it was going to.

I did a drawing of the flight path but of course it wasn't right so I erased and did it over a few times until it was right. What came out was every line I drew... and there does not appear to be a way to edit out the ones that were wrong.

I tried to remove the particle from the downloaded file. Can't do it. I attempted to save the background as a pic so I could put it back into the drawing application. Can't do that either.

Anyone have any ideas on how to draw the flight path on the map?

Thanks.

HI,
When you stop the recording of the paths you make, and then draw another path PD assume it is part of the same flight path so adds it, and the Earasing of the line is also part of the recored paths.
What you would have to do is start another New instance of the paths..don't save when finished. exit and start over.
Jim

Hi

Further to what Jim has said the 'drawing' is actually a transparent PIP with a trail (eg pen stroke) saved as an AVI file (I think).

You can also use your drawing to make a tree, wrap a present etc.

Here's a tutorial:

Happy editing Happing editing

Thank you for all the responses. The problem was, and I solved it completely by accident, is when I was using the draw feature, I was getting a black screen on which to draw. The particle was not showing, so basically, I was drawing random lines, then playing the movie to see if the lines were even close. None were.

What I was doing wrong was not clicking within the picture of the particle itself, rather, the marker was set just before. Just before = black screen, someone on = I could see the map and therefore draw an actual and accurate line from Afghanistan to Arizona. So, the problem wasn't as technical as was originally believed.

Now, if I could just be able to draw a smooth line instead of a jiggly one, I would be good to go! Been working on this single video for a couple of weeks now! #$%!!
