Modifying title duration of a title moves other titles

Excuse my poor english, please....

When I change the duration of a title, all other titles on the right move.

Reducing the duration moves other titles on the left, increasing it moves other titles on the right.

My parameters in the preferences are good: "Lie all tracks when add/Supress something on the timeline".

Thank you for your help.

Hi JP

Welcome to the forum

The easiest way is to move your title to a different track

Thank you, Neil.

That's in fact a solution. But it's a little binding.

If need to modify duration for several titles, I have to use as many tracks than I have titles to modify....

But if this is the only solution, I will accomodate.

JP

JP -

You should only need to move about half the tiles to other tracks. If there's enough space before the following title/media, increased duration will be accommodated without any shifting.

See attached screen capture...

Cheers - Tony

Many thanks, Tony for your suggestion and the video.

I tried it and it works when increasing. But it doesn't when I reduce the duration.

Hi JP

Click on title and move scrubber to point that you want to delete and use the Spilt function and Right Click portion to delete and use Delete Leave Gap.

I'm not in front of my computer right now so maybe Tony can post a screenshot Happing editing

Neil's suggestion will work... split the title & remove the unwanted bit leaving gap (right click)...

OR

Drag left end of title in to decrease duration, then move it where you want.

Hi, thanks a lot, Neil and Tony,

This two solutions work fine.

I will use the two, and then decide which one is the bettrer one for me.

Another way of reducing the text, effect, etc. .. shrink the left directly in the block, see the video.
