Hi,
I am fishing for feedback on a project to tutor beginners.
I have created a site for instructions on certain aspects and would like to know if it is worth continuing with.
so far there isn't that much..
the project is hosted here
http://members.shaw.ca/macgregorj/tutor/index
Hope this works LOL
p.s. I could when (and if) I finish the project export as pdf file also and set up a link.

Jim, I found that in order to be useful, then the tutorial must cover an item where the instructions are not clear. Look at these forums and you will find some posts on "how do I ????" There was a recent one on adjusting the fade in/out of several audio pieces.

I did the same thing with a different but similar program and had nearly 5, 000 visitors over 5 years. One thing is that since the programs don't change much with each version, the tutorials are good for a long period of time.

The tutorials must be short and to the point; narration works best. You can host them on your site or just link to them on something like YouTube.

I don't have time to look noew but I do look forward to watching them later.

Hi SteveK,
Thanks for the response. Being kinda newbie to Power Director and seen a couple of posts regarding PDtoots video tutorials (which I find great) I though maybe an online 'written tut may be of use'. I am creating the tutorial based on my experience in doing certain things in PD that are not based on modifying a supplied template but working from scratch. the program I am using to create the online tutorial can also output to a PDF file, that if I can get enough interest (and feedback) from what I put online as web based then when I get things added produce a download version.
I haven't had the program very long so as I create this I learn myself.
Jim
p.s. feedback was greatly appreciated.
