Hi all.
I'm trying to get to work PD with Vista (Ultimate 32bit)/Dell Inspiron duo core, and the PD have been consistently hanging whenever I start importing/converting the .tod video files from my JVC HD7U.

The progress pop-window goes to 100% and just won't go any further.. hangs virtually and doesn't even display any error message!

Just wondering if anyone have had this problem before. .. would certainly appreciate any suggestion.

Thanks.
Daniel

I have Googled PD5 and it appears to only work with Windows 2000 and XP. John

Daniel,

I want you to try out the following.

Go to:
1. C : Program Files/CyberLink/PowerDirector Express
2. Locate the dll file = evoparser.dll
3. rename the file evoparserxxx.dll

Close the directory

Now open PowerDirector 5 Express which came with JVC

The suggestion given here should NOT harm your PC and should assist in the opening of PowerDirector 5 Express.

What are the results please?

Dafydd

I have the same issue and renaming the DLL results in a hang at 50% instead of 100%

I got this software bundled with a new JVC camcorder, I am affraid it will be going back, Vista has been out a long time now !
