Hi,
I just downloaded PhotoDirector 3 trial and wanted to install it on my Windows 7 32-bit machine.
It fails to install almost instantly complaining about the fact that I don't have Windows XP SP3

Any idea???

Hello Steve,

Sorry you're having problems installing the PhD 3 Trial. I've not heard of the installer failing like that previously. Nor have I seen it reported that the installer wants to find WindowsXP!

PhD is 32-bit software and will install (of course) on either 32/64-bit systems. It will install in C:\Program Files (x86)\CyberLink\PhotoDirector3

I assume you've attempted to install repeatedly & receive the same alert message - yes? Could you post a screen shot of the alert?

It sounds like a faulty download & it may be worth removing the installer completely, cleaning out temp files & starting again. Re-download the trial & start on a fresh slate.

If you get the same error, you may need to contact Technical Support https://membership.cyberlink.com/prog/support/cs/service/technical-support.do

I tried to install it via RevoUninstaller Monitoring. When I installed it nativelly, this worked perfectly.
I'll write to Revo to inform them that there is a bug in their monitoring process.

Thanks for your help. __________________

RevoUninstaller.
An uninstaller that cleans a bit more than the original Windows uninstall one.
You can install an application through it so it monitors eveything, any file, any registry change, anything that is put in place by a program at install time.
Once you uninstall it, it cleans everything. :
Looks like they have a problem with responding to the OS queries :
