Right now I have my audio going through SPDIF
I want to be able to control the volume of my movies using the master volume of my PC.
All my programs that I have on my PC currently use the master volume except this one.

Please Help

Hi,
if you use Bitstream the use of audio control is not allowed/possible.

Please describe more precisesly your scenario and steps:
- used contant
- decode settings in PDVD or use S/PDIF bitstream?
- which movie title?

I've notice the problem persist with any Blu-ray Disc. If it's a regular DVD I have no issues with volume control.

In the TrueTheater Tech menu I only have the drop down enabled with use S/PDIF selected all the other options are disabled.

In Settings->Audio
Speaker Environment is set to S/PDIF
and output mode is set to Only primary audio.

I want PDVD to decode my sound.

the receiver is a Yamaha V RX2092 so I have no HDMI inputs the sound card is built into my GA-A75-UD4H motherboard the datasheet says its a Realtek ALC889 codec...

I'm getting the feeling that this program is not for optical sound.

I had to change my sound settings to watch War Horse on Blu-Ray. I really hope this is not a continuing problem. I am still having issues with the volume control as well.

I got it to work finally, now my PC is in control of the encoding the surround and volume.

I went to Control Panel -> Sound -> Playback

scrolled down to my Realtek Digital Output(Optical) then clicked properties.

In properties I went to the advance tab and unchecked the "Allow applications to take exclusive control of this device"

This seems to work in my case, hopefully it will work for everyone else.
