I just installed Power DVD 12 Ultra Build Number 1514.54. It seems to work correctly except ---

I have some old mov files on my computer. DVD 12 finds them and when I first clciked to play them, I got a blank screen. I turned of the True Theater options and I got the video BUT

The sound is just static. The audio format is pcm. They play properly with the correct audio using the latest version (7.) of Quicktime. I have tried some audio options but they still don't play the audio properly.

Any suggestions other than to use Quicktime to play the files.

i'm not really sure but I don't think PCM is supported by PowerDVD. I could be wrong.

Hi stevek,
can you upload a file to double check?

PCM audio is supported in PDVD, so there should be no general problem

Thanks, I found out that some of the mov file play with no problems and some do not. I may have convertered some other video files to mov for playing on a portable device using some other software. That conversion may have been the issue.

Based on the above, and the fact that I was exploring the program, I think we can close this thread with my apologies. .
