I haven't been using this program for very long, and don't know the ins and outs very well yet, but is there any way to edit the background of a video? For a school project, we're shooting our film, but want it to seem like we're on the game show Jeopardy. Since we obvisouly don't have an entire Jeopardy set, is there any way to change the background to that of Jeopardy?

I am still very new as well. But maybe this will help a little.

In all the information I have read, I read someplace that PowerDirector supports green screens. This means if you shoot your video with a green background, then you can use any other video as the background image. I have not looked at this so I wouldn't know how it is done.

In the process of installing on Win 8.1 ....
PowerDirector Deluxe 11.0.0.2812 (32bit installed, 64 bit not compatible with XP x64)
OS: Windows XP Pro x64 SP2
CD/DVD: D: TSSTcorpCDDVDW SH-S223L
HDD: C: 298.1GB | E: 1863.0GB | F: 1863.0GB
Free: C: 283.8GB | E: 868.5GB | F: 868.2GB
RAM: 8

Hi Jaynie

Welcome to the forum

The key to an effective look is to use a green or blue screen - this is critical to the Chroma Key function in PD. If you have too many colours or movement in your background you will be disappointed with the results.

So in using a blue or green screen, does it matter what is it, or it can be anything as long as its blue or green?

Blue, green, anything you or the subjects are not wearing.
Most folks go with fluorescent green because so few things in our world are that color. Watch a Youtube tutorial or 3, and remember, even lighting, no wrinkles, even lighting, no wrinkles, get it!?
Here is a sampler I did very quickly. The woman is actually in her living room.

Ok, so I've got a green screen, and everything is set, but now my question is where can I find a Jeopardy (or a similar game show type theme) to use as the background? I don't know if that's really what you call it, but I don't want the people on the film to be in a space ship or anything, I want them on a game show, ya know?

Thanks everyone for your help! This is all new for me!

Internet image search.
Game show TV set. You may need to go thru 1000s, but it honestly does not take very long to do that.
