question about making a 3D video with two cameras

Hi, I don't own a purpose built 3D camera yet, but i do have two Sony DSC HX5 cameras which can shoot in full HD video quality.
I did an experiment and placed both cameras side by side on a hme made jig and did some filming by pressing record on both cameras simualtaniously.

I then downloaded both SD card video files onto my computer.

I have tried placing the left video track onto the main time line and the right video track onto the pip time line and sycronised them.

Now for the big question:
Is there a way that PD10 can convert both seperate video files into one single 3D file without losing the full HD quality?

Here's a link to a discussion about do that. http://forum.cyberlink.com/forum/posts/list/22331.page

Somewhere in there other members and I give details about creating side-by-side video.

You can't do full side-by-side of 1920x1080 because Cyberlink won't let you create video that is 3840x1080. Gateway DX4380, AMD A8-5500 Quad Core 3.2GHz with ATI Radeon HD 7560D; 16GB RAM; 1 TB SATA 7200 RPM; Windows 8 Pro 64-bit; PDR11, PDVD12.
