I have created a new private account for a client to upload her finished product. I have successfully upload to my youtube account, but when I try with hers, I keep getting invalid username/password??Will Cyberlink only let you upload to youtube using your own info, or should I be able to upload to any account??

Thanks for the help that I know will be coming!!

Scott

Hi,
I think uploading from Power Director is for your account only, but you can export to a folder and upload straight to YouTube using your or her youtube account. Intel i7-2600@3.4Gz Geforce 560ti-1GB Graphic accelerator, windows 7 Premium 12GB memory

Using PD's uploader or doing it manually makes no difference.

If you know the sign in details of the YouTube account, you just apply the user name (email address) & password either (a) in PD or (b) in YouTube.

I have a number of different YouTube accounts & upload videos to others'. Generally I upload manually. YouTube allows multiple sign-ins anyway.

How are you signing into the account? Through PD? on YouTube? Are you sure the details are correct?

Cheers - Tony

Thanks for the responses. I am trying to upload through PD using the other persons sign in. I know it is correct because I created it for her and I have signed in and out of the account on youtube using the info.

I will transfer it to another file and try from there.

Again thank you Scott Wright

Glad to see I'm not the only one having this problem. Since updating to version 10 I have been unable to unload to youtube directly from PD10. I get the same you have entered an incorrect password/username message. I am sure that I have the correct username password entered but apparently the settings wont clear from PD10.

After you figure out the Log-in, consider this...
I love the convenience of uploading thru PowerDirector, but when I use the PD method, my audio/video get just slightly out-of-sync. When I check the actual file I create on my hard-drive it is perfect, but the Youtube upload version is off! If I upload my perfect file via Youtube, it's fine. I'm not sure where the error is happening so I do not blame Cyberlink, but I am sticking with the YT uploader, too bad. Maybe I'll start a thread.

Hi All

Just another YouTube user chiming in

I have never used the PD method to upload to YT. I use the YT method.

Recently YT have become ruthless in their pursuit of perceived breaches in copyrighted music and regularly remove the audio and sometimes entire videos they think breach 'their' code.

Also, YT's re-renders/re-encodes the videos you upload which can cause audio and video distortion.

Vimeo, on the other hand have a slightly different approach and I find their video channel better than YT

Happy editing Happing editing

Best Regards

Neil

There's something whacko about the whole box & dice - for sure.

N.B. I'm not trying to shift the topic of this thread - just sharing some related issues...

1. Manual upload to YouTube, through any of my channels? No problem.
2. Upload to YouTube through PD? Generally no issues, apart from those Barry mentioned.
3. Upload to YouTube and share on DirectorZone? Fails about 50% of the time.
4. Upload to YouTube/DirectorZone through CyberLink's PhotoDirector? Fails about 100% of the time.

So - there's something in CyberLink's uploaders (more complex than I can understand) that is causing instability.

There appear to be enough people with issues to start a class action... or at least a few support tickets. I'm going to write one right now.

Cheers - Tony

I have several YT accounts - to keep my videos in their correct places.
since owning PD8 I have uploaded many, many videos to all my YT accounts without problem - until now.
PD8 was uninstalled when I installed PD11.
But PD11 kept crashing. first vid was OK but the next would cause PD to crash. uninstalol, re-instalol, 1 vid then next would crash!
So, went back to PD8, fresh install from genuine disks etc & now I find I can only upload to one account - all the others throw up a "invalid/inactive username or incorrect password.
I can log into all my accounts directly - no problem, so I know my usernames, email addy and passwords - but PD8 won't allow access.

And has Cyberlink created a patch yet for those horrible lines YT creates? I'm fed up of keep typing yt:stretch on every tag line.
