Hi there! I have a problem in finding out how to blur an area of the screen, I have taken a few clips from youtube and put them together but I need to blur out the website name in the corner of the screen so that I don't infringe the copyright. I don't want to completely blacken the area just kinda pixilate it so it cannot be read Can this be done?

Many thanks for any help in advance!

Hi bisto17,

Here is a link to a tutorial that demonstrates how to create a Censor Blur in PowerDirector9 and 10

A more detailed tutorial, using an earlier version PD can be seen here.

(Note: Although this tutorial was done in PD8’s user interface, the key frame principle is exactly the same.)

Hi Bisto17

Welcome to the volunteer forum

In additiion to Cranston's excellent method you also have the option of cropping or expanding the video file

To crop:

To expand:

I find these methods useful when you just need to remove an unwanted area on the edge of the video clip, like a person or a building etc or in your case a website name

Happy editing Happing editing

Best Regards
