Using win 7 HP. 64-bit. PowerDirector10 Ultra, build 1129b.
I have a 1hr, 20 min video on tracks 1. On the end I want a vertical scroll credit list.
I chose one called "scroll up" from several choices and populated it with my credit names (doesn't seem to matter which scrollong effect I use, the problem seems to be with all I tried) . When my video hits the last frame before the vertical scroll efffect, it stops for about 8 seconds, then jumps about 4 or 5 seconds into the scroll line (still no display on the screen) then after another 4 seconds or so the list of names start to appear scrolling normally until the end.

Any ideas why the several second stop and then further delay before displaying?

Hi GrampyPeter

I'm not sure why this happens

A workaround is to Produce (as close to the original profile as possible so you don't lose any quality) your ending minus the credits.

Then import the produced clip and insert your credit scroll and produce/burn again.

STOP PRESS: TRY INSERTING A BLACK COLOR BOARD IN VIDEO TRACK ONE THE SAME LENGTH AS THE SCROLL CREDITS

GrampyPeter: I encounter this phenomenon always. It appears as though, in preview mode, PD10 needs about five seconds or longer to process the credit information. I stop the preview when it comes to the credits, and then wait until the "Fit" button lights up again, and then press play. It works just fine that way. If you produce your file, you will see that the credits are fine.

It is not an issue with my computer, I don't think. It did it on my laptop too, and the new computer that I purchased is spec'd out for video editing.

I wouldn't worry about it, unless you see problems with your produced file. Hope this helps. Have a great day.
