Hello everyone,

I'm still having a bit of trouble with cyberlink...
I have an external hardrive with all my clips on it.. My C Drive is filling up also because power director is storing the MPEG video/audio stream in a folder on the C drive. Is there anyway i can re-direct this to save these files on my hardrive?? It's annoying me, as i can't bring all my footage into the package to edit it!!

Any advice greatly appreciated

Hi Kittyk8

It's been a while since I have used this version of PowerDirector but you should be able to change your Export Directory.

It will be something like this:

Directors Chair (top left) > Edit >Preferences. Under the File tab change Export directory: to your external drive.

Please note you must have this drive available at all times when editing

Happy editing

What about simply storing everything from your C drive to your external HDD like copying and pasting everything. Will that work?

Hi Tidus

PD is a program that operates on the C drive - so it is wise to keep all the information there.

It is also a good idea to keep all your project material in one folder on your C drive.

Obviously when you have finished your project and produced it to say, MPEG2 HD, you can then move this produced file to an external hard drive to free up space and delete you original project, if you choose.
