pd10 preview not working

just installed pd10 last sunday, working okay editing movie files from my gopro, switched on tonight and when i open a project or import video it does not play correctley in the preview pane. it looks okay until you play then it flashes from clip to green screen and back all the way through the film clip, not playing the film just flashing the start image. sometimes just flashes grey blocky screen. tried reinstalling and going back to restore point 2 days ago but no joy - please help ? Reduce your preview resolution PC specs :

Be sure your Video driver is up to date from the manufacturer.

I have always used the "normal" preview. When I am editing the preview window for me really make no difference if it is HD or no rez preview. All you need to know that when you render it will be fine... plus it never stalls when previewing, not to mention its too small to really see details on my 24 inch monitor anyway.... all you need to see is if your transitions and titles are doing what you want and you can see that easy enough on no rez setting...


But there does seem to be problems with some of the GoPro captures.. Maybe Robert or someone can jump in...

just installed last 10 version, /upgrade from 9/ when I import video it does not play correctley in the preview pane. I see black preview screen and hear only music. I can not set preview options becouse are not active.
Video is H.264 AVC MP4 file. I have NVIDIA GTX 580 nevest driver.
What can I do to see preview movie files - please help ?

If you have black videos in the time line, that means the video files are not located where Powerdirector thinks they are.

If you get the Window to Browse or Cancel, choose Browse and locate your videos. If they are not on your hard drive, you must put them on the hard drive.

A PDS file is nothing but a road map of where the files are and what you have done in your edit.
