Powerdirector 10 Ultra: remove in-program ads

I purchased Powerdirector 10 Ultra. I see ads for photodirector 3 when changing the user preferences and producing. Is there a way to disable these ads?

I see that someone found a way to disable these in powerdirector 8 - would the same method work in Powerdirector 10 (I'd try, but I have an upgrade version, so I think a reinstallation would be too complicated to risk messing somithing up in the host file)?

The method of changing the hosts file in Win7 still works with PD10.

To remove the ads in PD10, add this text below the last line of the hosts file.
