I have PD 10 ultra SR# VDE 111213-07, ver 10.0.0.1129b installed on Win 7 ultimate 64-bit. All my drivers are up to date. I am trying to burn video on DVD. However, authoring stops at 99% and shows a message "The PD stopped working" etc. I tried to burn DVD repeatedly with the same results. When I removed the sound (mp3 files) I was able to burn DVD. Subsequently, I created AVI and MP4 files with soundtracks on. Using the third party SW I was able to burn DVD with sound from both files without difficulties. This tells me that the problem is with PD10. I requested help from Cyberlink tech support, however, after 3 days I still do not have a response. Before I have been working with PD8 and PD9. For each version it took a year before it work acceptably. From my experience Cyberlink is releasing products prematurely that are not thoroughly tested. It is frustrating and a lot of wasted time. I would appreciate any help in solving DVD burning from PD10. Thanks for suggestions. ASUS P8Z68 deluxe

MJH038: There have been lots of intermittent problems reported with PD9 and PD10 (don't know about before that) and .mp3 files. Personally, I convert all of my files to .wav format, which seems to solve the problem for everyone. I know that doesn't solve the issue of why PD10 occasionally chokes on .mp3 files, but that is the way it is now, as far as I know. So, I just go with the flow. I don't enjoy wasting my time making coasters.

There are free programs out there to convert .mp3 files to .wav format.

Hope this helps. Have a great day.

Thanks for the suggestion. I rendered the project as MP4 and then burned to DVD. In your experience what gives a better definition: converting files to wav and using PD10 to burn or as I did rendering as MP4 and burn using 3rd party SW?

Hi MJH038 ,
What happens when you select BOTH Burn to disc and Create to folder? This separates the write to disc/render task and may resolve your problem.

Just a suggestion.
