Often in large projects I would like to render a small segment to see how it would look in the final production, not just a "Render preview".

Is it possible to do this?

Thanks Richard

Hi Richard

Unfortunately this cannot be done - however there are a couple of workarounds:

1. Delete the bits you don't want and produce file. Remove the produced file from the library, then click undo and revert back to your original project OR

2. Delete the bits you don't want and do a File>Save As (your file name).

Happy editing

Thanks, I'll see what works best for me.

Can I copy the "extra bits", in their relative positions to another project?

If I can copy segments of a project to another then I could work around this.

Thanks again

Hi Richard

Yes you can.

It's a bit hard to explain as I'm on my iPhone.

Use the yellow/orange 'triangles' next to the top of the scrubber and drag this over the part. Right click I think and select copy

Open othe project and use the movie tab under the preview window and use the scrubber to paste.

For further info go to Youtube and search for PDToots as they have an excellent tutorial on how to do this Happing editing
