Which packs are installed?

My PD10 1129b doesn't show which packs are installed (or if any upgrades/updates are available). While this is a minor annoyance, does anyone know a solution?

This has been going on since day 1, so it isn't a problem with 1129b specifically.

Jerry -

Yes - mine aren't listed under "Installed Packs" either.

You'd be able to check by following the file paths to the containing folders...

Content Packs I & II - C:\Program Files (x86)\Cyberlink\templates\PowerDirector Content Pack 10
Romance Pack - C:\Program Files (x86)\CyberLink\templates\Menus\Romance Pack v3
Holiday Magic Style Pack - C:\Program Files (x86)\Cyberlink\templates\Styles

You might also have noticed that Content Packs I & II & Holiday Magic Style Pack appear as programs in Control Panel > Programs & Features.

Cheers - Tony

Not exactly sure what you mean or what you think should be displayed as mine is empty too but I think it should be, at least currently.

When you click the "powerdirector" in the upper right hand corner, the dialog box that appears has an "upgrade" button which will be inactive if "Automatically check for updates" is unchecked in preferences. If ticked in preferences, "upgrade" button will be active and load a option splash screen, but I think all 3 tabs should be void unless you like CL propaganda. The "Upgrade" tab may show some other products, maybe photodirector, the "Update" tab should be empty, you have 1129b installed, no newer updates, the "Installed Packs" is empty unless you have some purchased packs or the like installed? Content packs I and II not listed there.

Jeff

Hi,
I thought and (believe) that installed packs are 'Packs' that you have purchased separately either from 3d parties or independently through Cyberlink website.

Jeff -

I'm testing my memory here (& I don't care much if it's failing me), but I think - prior to the installation of the 1129a patch (with the updated/renewed content pack) - that the installed packs were listed in the appropriate column. I have a distinct memory of (at least) the Romance Pack being listed.

Not that it matters.

James - I purchased the Holiday Magic Style pack separately & it's not listed either.

Cheers - Tony
