ERROR BURNING DVD

I have DVD+R Double Layer 8.5 GB

The project is 6214 MB

When i want to burn the movie to disc i get the error

"The imported files are bigger than the available disk space"

What can i do?

What does the size estimate in Powerdirector Create Disk module say? I assume you have selected 8.5 on the DVD dropdown in the Disk preferences tab.

What is the format of the videos on the timeline?

If you pre-produce your video on the time line to a Mpeg-2 HQ (DVD HQ) video, and put the produced Video on the timeline, is the size estimate closer to the actual size of the video?
