PowerDVD11 BluRay Playback Problems - Resolved

All you have to do is uninstall PowerDVD and purchase ArcSoft TotalMedia Theatre and that should enable smooth BluRay playback without any stuttering, slowdown, skipping and is compatible with high end video cards that should obviously be able run Blu Rays without a problem. You don't have to downgrade your drivers, use any 3rd party programs, or adjust your display settings below 60Hz. PowerDVD is cheaper than Arcsoft's player but you get what you pay for.

I personally lasted 2 months, yes 2 months on technical support on trying to resolve this issue with PowerDVD. They blamed my drivers, my display settings (Hz), and video card and finally gave up saying that they couldn't resolve the issue and ACTUALLY recommended me using ANOTHER player. So what is the point of purchasing PowerDVD? Well to rip yourself off, pretty much.

Throughout the 2 months of frustrating technical support they asked for my Dxdiag file more than 5 times! So Im assuming they use some kind of stall tactic to frustrate their customers hoping that they give up so they don't have to deal with the problem.

I also asked for a refund in relation to the failed technical support on their faulty overpriced product. The thing is i had to request a refund within 30 days but guess what.....the tech support issue lasted 2 MONTHS! Spare yourself the inconvenience and shop around before you invest in Cyberlink products.

PS I love how they have a monthly fee to get real-time phone support. So you make a low quality product, get customers to contact their lousy tech support (through messages) which will eventually have them buying their phone tech support membership.

Gladly, CS001081013

This is isn't an attempt to resolve a problem but to announce the problem. Your software isn't compatible with video cards that have the capabilities to easily run a blu ray movie. Simple as that. You could try Arcsoft's software for yourself too see an example on how a blu ray player should perform.

The refund attempt Ticket ID is CS001081013

Hi,

I can not agree to your statement - and if I check TMT forum I can see also see many users complaining their SW not working in their environments.

The problem for Software is that you have different environments, and sometimes external issues make Software not work as expected.

Manoroid, thats exactly what i was wondering. I would like to know the specs on that hardware, but im sure its some high end triple SLI setup that finally stops the stuttering.

Hi,

using an HD TV Set and having VGA configured for 24Hz is working smoothly here. No jitter or judder.

using single VGA (AMD/Intel/HD3000)
