Jerky will low frames per second refresh rate

Playing a DVD and other movies with CyberLink PowerDVD 11 is poor. I am getting jerky images all the time.

Playing that exact same DVD with PowerDVD XP it is a smooth playback.

What gives? I thought it was an 'upgrade'?

PS I am using Windows 7 recently updated with SP1.

When trying to install the patch I get the message "You do not have the correct version installed. Aborting ...".

I have version: PowerDVD 11.0.2218.53

I thought I had Standard edition so I used that patch but not sure now. Doesn't say anywhere in the application which version I am using.

The reason why it will not update is because you are running a trial version or there are no more updates.

Click on the "Gear" symbol in the upper right hand corner.

In that window click on "Upgrade" in the lower left corner.

In that window click on "Update" . If there is an update to be found, this is the best way of going about it rather then to try and guess which one applies from Cyberlink's update page.
